Integrated multi-criteria group decision-making model for supplier selection in an uncertain environment

The evaluation and selection of reliable suppliers are an extremely important operational activity for any supply chain management. It is a hard problem since supplier typically multi-criteria decision-making involving several conflicting qualitative quantitative criteria on which the decision-maker’s knowledge usually vague imprecise. process may be biased while decision made by single expert instead multiple experts. This paper shows integrated fuzzy approach to solve this problem. In study, proposed group model developed integrating intuitionistic set (IFS), analytic hierarchy (fuzzy AHP), technique order preference similarity ideal solution TOPSIS). weight decision-maker determined using set, AHP, both weights applied in TOPSIS method ranking suppliers. efficiency practicability presented numerically demonstrated solving numerical example. Finally, sensitivity analysis performed test robustness stability introduced methodology. result that more robust compared other approaches.
